Bike Modification
Bike modification is the latest trend among the Indian youth. Most of the college students and teenagers are fond of driving a bike but can’t afford to buy expensive imported bikes. Therefore, they take advantage of various resources to modify their bikes into something jazzy and sporty.
Bike modification is not confined to only the look and external body of the bike. These days one can modify both the engines as well as the external body of the bikes. Engine modification is mainly done to improve the working condition, efficiency and overall performance of the bike whereas external body modification is done to give a jazzy and snazzier appeal to the bikes.
Some of the common modifications that college students undergo in their bikes are strapping on an extra silencer, enhancing the size of rear tier, improving the handle bar with a downward bend, changing shock absorbers, making use of alloy wheels and so on.
Teenagers come out with various innovations to decorate and enhance the look of their bikes. They often use snazzy stickers, bright paints, duplicate logos of sport bikes, holograms and a variety of other adornments to add glamour to their beloved bike.
Modifications can also be done on the existing sound or horn of the bike. Sound can be tweaked upon by adding a diffuser with the sound of a Harley Davidson. Chambers and exhaust can also be altered to give a completely different look. The basic disadvantage of having these changes is that it greatly influences the mileage of the bikes.
Still, the teenagers prefer to have modifications and alteration to give their bike a sporty and trendy look. Alternations can also be done based on the material used for constructing the bike. Most of the bikes today are found with Fiberglass-Reinforced-Plastic. The list of modification is endless and includes various alternations in the engine, seat, handle and other essential parts of a bike.
